What is Anamorphic?
In Late 2018, we started using Cinemorph Filters made by Vid-Atlantic. What these filters do is add two effects that you won’t usually see in normal DSLR shooting.
They create these long streak flares, JJ Abrams often uses them in the modern Star Trek films.
Another key effect is the stretched vertical backgrounds, when a blurred out background is present (Bokeh), it looks more film like and less digital.
the blurred light circles (Bokeh ball effect) are also stretched.
